Man dies after being shot at motel

An adult male died from a gunshot wound to the upper torso on Sunday May 10 at 2:19 a.m. at the Palms Inn, 1145 Sniders Highway near I-95.
Walterboro Police officers arriving found a black male lying in the parking lot at the end of the building, but the man was unresponsive. Law enforcement and Colleton Fire-Recue firefighter-paramedics arrived quickly, but the man had no signs of life.
Jocquline Darrell Hardwick Jr., 31, of Sniders Highway was pronounced deceased on the scene by Deputy Coroner Richard Carter.
The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident and interviewed all individuals present during the incident, which they believe to be domestic related.
