A 32-year-old man received an accidental gunshot wound Saturday afternoon April 18 at 6:45. The incident occurred at the Green Acres Campground at 396 Campground Rd. The man was moving a pistol when it accidentally discharged and shot him in the leg. The bullet passed through one leg and into the other. He applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. Firefighter-paramedics found the man in stable condition and treated him on scene before transporting him by ambulance to the Trauma Center at Trident Hospital. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
