An 18-year-old male was critically injured in a shooting incident at a residence on Francis Street, January 30th. Law Enforcement Officers found the man on the porch bleeding profusely. They began administering medical care in attempts to control his bleeding. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics arrived a short time later and took over the care. The victim was transported to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The man had lost a great deal of blood at the scene and was in critical condition. His condition improved enroute to the Trauma Center after blood was administered in route. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating the incident.
