A Walterboro woman died during a weekend shooting in nearby Beaufort County.
Flora Mae Gantt, 74, of Walterboro, died at the crime scene in Seabrook, a community in Beaufort County, according to Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office officials. The shooting is under investigation and details are limited. However, officials say deputies were called to Detour Road house on Saturday, Dec. 4th at about 11 p.m. to a report of shots fired.
A dispute occurred at the party, and two women were subsequently shot and killed: Gannt was one of the victims. The second victim is 30-year—old Shaina Mulligan, of Beaufort, according to reports.
According to Major Bob Bromage, spokesman for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, all parties involved have been identified. However, as of press deadline, no suspects have been arrested.
