Dear Editor:

Here is Electric Car Information Not Talked About:

Repeated cycle of charging and discharging degrades the battery over time. It also decreases the amount of charge the battery can hold. It increases the amount of time needed to recharge the battery. Electric cars in hotter regions will degrade faster.

While they offer the convenience of speed, regularly using Level 3 fast-charging stations can shorten the expected battery life in electric vehicles. These high-voltage DC stations can charge an EV’s battery up to 80% in about 30 minutes. Still, the process can generate heat in the battery and therefore affect its long-term performance.

How long do these batteries last? Most are warranted for 8 years or 100,00 miles, which ever comes first.

What does replacement battery cost? 2018 TESLA MODEL 3 AWD LONG RANGE BATTERY PACK COMPLETE 75KWH 1104422-10-K OEM: Item Information: Used on E-BAY

“JUST REMOVED NOV 2021. ONLY 21K MILES ON CAR(33,000KMS). BATTERY CURRENTLY AT AROUND 50% CHARGE....Price: US $22,998.00

Environmentalists never mention expense of batteries that will need to be replaced.

Also where are they going to put these batteries when they die. You will be paying for years.

They also fail to mention your tax money ($7,500)is being given to the wealthy so they can drive a prestigious Tesla.

Tesla: $60,000 and up

Volkswagon ID 4: starting MSRP $41,230 $33,730 (after federal tax credit)

EPA Estimated Range for ID.4 Pro: 275 miles

Estimated Charging Time (at a public DC fast charger) 70miles in about 10 minutes

The only charge station I have seen is at Walmart.

Also: These cars will use more electricity – where is it coming from?
