OUR FREEDOM IS OUR MOST PRECIOUS GIFT TO OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN
“Let me be clear,” “Let me be perfectly clear,” “Come on Man”, How many times has Biden repeated these unnecessary phrases. He is the President and he does not need our permission to speak frankly and truthfully. I will not use the current catch phrase of our politicians, instead I will ask only that you to listen. I have always felt free to speak my opinion because the First Amendment guarantees my right to do so.
Freedom of speech means you have a right to say what you feel and what you believe and no one has the right to interfere in that. People do not understand how important freedom of speech is in their lives and their future. It is the sword that can cut against tyranny, corruption, lies, and political propaganda.
The liberals are slowly silencing the voices of the average American in so many ways it has become a danger to every citizen. Our liberals on campuses, professors and politicians create false standards to tell you what is the correct way to speak and what to think. Political Correctness was their first tool and it was not afraid to demand you to speak in the manner they felt was correct. Conservative speakers are not invited to speak on campuses.
Debate, which allows different views to be presented and judged, has been the hallmark of forming opinions under our free speech democracy. There is no debate any more. Only propaganda supporting the objective of the liberal doctrine is allowed. Any opposition to their view is ridiculed and the person speaking it described as “despicable”. They are called terrorists, racist and other names. The elite liberals believe only they have the solutions to our problems and how to guide the future. They believe big government can solve all of our problems.
Their newest weapon is to “CANCEL” someone for whatever reason they want to use. No one knows who has the right to “CANCEL “a person or idea. To violate their view is to be investigated back through your life until you were in diapers and find anything to tear you down. Both political correctness and “CANCEL” are tools of the weak minded who cannot win in a debate so they resort to cynicism and destructive propaganda to attack anyone who dares to challenge them.
The power to influence the public has been in control of our media giants for years and our newspapers have followed their direction. You can even hear the message of the day as they often use the identical words to criticize whatever they disagree with across each of the big media news programs. The news today has become the messenger of political propaganda and most of America do not realize it. Our government, through our democrat controlled congress, is allowed to lie and cover up their mistakes with the full support of our media.
Now America faces the most powerful force on the planet, our Big Tech companies. They censor the voices of republicans and enforce the measures desired by liberal politicians. These Big Tech companies are the major violators of free speech. Their decision to censor is not debatable nor can it be changed. They just take you down. They can forcefully change public opinion by the sheer power they have to reach billions of people around the world twenty four hours a day. Our government recognizes this power and is now using Big Tech to justify every move they make and it is their weapon to shut down criticism and objections. They constantly push their own propaganda without opposition.
I will be 79 years old this month and in my lifetime I have never seen so many attacks on our freedoms. Democracy, religion, and our freedom is being destroyed one small part at a time. It is like watching the sand in an hour glass slowly disappearing to the bottom. America is, in spite of what you hear, still the greatest country on the planet. People from all around the world want to come here. It is not the government they love and desire, it is the precious freedoms guaranteed to everyone by our Bill of Rights and Constitution that brings them here. America’s red, white and blue stars and stripe flag is the most recognized and endearing symbol on the planet simply because it waves over a free country.
