Hold your cool
going back to school
Dear Editor:
The majority of our area students will be returning to school next week. The 2020-2021 school year will, of course, look a lot different. If we alter our attitude we can help ensure a productive school year for all staff and students. Here’s how you can help:
• You, your child, and his/her teacher are on the same team. Know together you can do hard things.
• If you are positive this school year will be a success, your child will likely feel the same way. Be optimistic and know your doubts can quickly become your child’s doubts, too. You have the greatest influence on your student — make sure it’s an encouraging one.
• One does not know what tomorrow will bring. If you work together, you will figure it out together.
• Talk less, smile more. It can sometimes be as difficult as you make it to be. Try to be agreeable first.
This school year is ideal for no one, and we are all fighting different battles! Some are anxious to get back into the classroom while others have anxiety about returning. Our teachers and administrators are brave; working super hard and trying new things. In turn, we can be kind and help one another.
Thanks to our community for making the 2020-2021 school year be the best it can be!

America’s F.O.E
Dear Editor:
We are living in a time of a decade in the making (everything about America is wrong mantra.) We are now reaching a crescendo of this propaganda sham against our country in many forms.
The first force of evil against us is the communist Chinese government. They don’t seem to have a problem killing their own people, so certainly we wouldn’t rate too high. Cue in the Chinese virus. No accident there, folks, especially in an election year as important as this for the survival of democracy. They see this as an opportunity to get rid of President Trump as payback for daring to stand up against them.
Another force of evil we have are the radical treasonous liberal politicians, federal, state, and local. Some are new to office, some have been entrenched a long time. The one common thread they all share is their plain-view hatred of their own country. You can literally feel and hear the anger in their voices and see it on their faces. They want their power back and will do anything up to, and including, trying to keep this country shut down until after an election to get total control back. If that means the lives of some of us commoners have to be destroyed in the process, then that’s chump change to these arrogant men and women.
Then we have the force of evil of the radical liberal mainstream lapdog water-carrying propaganda media machine. They provide cover for all liberals everywhere, no matter how high up or how low on the food chain. This all has been going on for a long time all the way around.
Conservatives sure can’t escape either without blame for sure. At least thoug,h they don’t seem to hate the country they live in and their values basically line up better with the average reasonable sensible American, no matter what race or gender they are.
Finally there is the force of evil of anarchy. Ah, yes folks, this is the radical liberals’ favorite weapon of submission. You know this is true by the fact that none of them will speak out against it. They can also sacrifice some good hard-working decent people and burn some buildings, kill some police. If this means gaining back full control of power over us and the country, then so be it.
So they look the other way at Marxist organizations such as Black Lives Matter and Antifa that are disguised to hide behind a just cause. If these organizations believe so much in social justice, then why aren’t they protesting and fighting in the streets to stop senseless violence and killing of people of color in places such as Chicago and New York? Because it doesn’t fit their narrative. It’s all about the anarchy and the overthrow of democracy.
None of what is happening right now is about justice in the right or wrong sense. It’s about a twisted sick sense of justice as they view it and how anyone who disagrees with them must be destroyed by whatever means necessary. That translates from President Trump on down to me, the guy writing this and to you, the person reading this. It is well past the time for any Americans that still believe in and love this country to do some serious soul searching and do not fear.
Just remember, freedom is not free. It has a cost. We have to pay it forward to move it forward. Myself included. Thanks for listening.
