Dear editor,
My husband and I recently returned from south Georgia on I-95. After crossing the Savannah River into South Carolina, the condition of the highway took a drastic change. I-95 through Georgia is three lanes and very well maintained. The SC portion is a disgrace. Not a very good impression for the thousands of out-of-state travelers. Two lanes and patches all the way. Why is Walterboro spending money to build sidewalks going nowhere and that hardly anyone uses, and not doing something about the road conditions? realize that the county is not responsible for the condition of I-95 but there are plenty of roads in the county that need fixing.
