As the country watches the Murdaugh saga unfold, it is worth mentioning a couple of things concerning the reflection of our community.
As to the televised/online testimony, the Colleton County Sheriffs Department came across as exceptionally professional. The deputies dressed professionally, their answers were extremely well stated, and their demeanor was calm and deliberate. Very well done.
The City has the appearance of a caring community thanks to the beautification of the 1-95 Loop Project and the very successful effort put forth by the City Police with regard to crowd management.
I have heard nothing but flattering comments from those from out of town who walk past our office.
