Dear The Press and Standard Editor,
I am writing to express my appreciation for the almost decade of work and athletic coverage from Sports writer Cindy Crosby. In a world of negative stories, crime and bad decisions, Ms. Crosby was always there to highlight the dedication and accomplishments of our youth athletes. Her face was familiar at all school sports events and we always knew if she was covering the game, an accurate, complete and fair report would be in next week’s paper. It was not just my child or my family she covered but she worked to highlight the hard work of all. I know many student-athletes would not receive this acknowledgement without Cindy’s dedication to all the athletes in Colleton County.
Thank you, Cindy, for portraying the positive, always being a cheerleader and highlighting the dedication of our athletes. We are grateful for the pages of pictures, thousands of words and all the love you shared with us!
