PRESS RELEASE - ACROSS SOUTH CAROLINA – October 3, 2022 – Get outside and connect with the land trusts across the state during the South Carolina Land Trust Network’s Land Trust Days in October. In this first-ever, month-long celebration of South Carolina’s special places, local land trusts are uniting to help residents connect to the land and the people who work to protect it.

“More than one million acres of land in our state will remain forever green – waterways, view sheds, working timberland and agricultural fields - thanks to your local land trust,” commented Jennifer Howard, executive director, South Carolina Land Trust Network. “During this month, especially, we encourage everyone to get outside. River sweeps, battlefield tours, native plant sales, or maybe just a cold beer brewed with clean water from a protected property. If special places matter to you, now’s the time to connect.”

More than a dozen Land Trust Network members will be offering special events and outings throughout the month.
