The Salkehatchie Lady Indians completed the 2021-22 regular season with an 81-65 loss against Bryant & Stratton last week to finish 18-9 overall and 13-6 in region competition.
Salkehatchie will begin competition in the Region X Post-Season Tournament on March 1 as the No. 3 seed, where they will face No. 6 Bryant & Stratton.
The Lady Indians, being the higher seed, would have garnered a home game, but due to issues regarding regulation size of the court, they will instead travel to the neutral location of Denmark Technical College with tipoff slated for 7 p.m.
Playing on the road against Bryant & Stratton on Wednesday, February 3rd, the Lady Indians shot 36.1 percent overall, hit 7-18 free throws and recorded 14 turnovers in the game. Salkehatchie was led by Amari Hunter who scored 30 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Antwanique Walley added 13 points and claimed 7 rebounds. Other scoring included Koila Adams 9, Jasmine Norman 7, Shatyra Moore 4, and Omari Kirkland 2.
