The Salkehatchie Lady Indians dropped an 80-63 decision against Region X opponent Cape Fear on Wednesday, December 1 at home. The Lady Indians are currently 2-5 overall and 1-2 in Region X.
In the loss to Cape Fear, Amari Hunter led with 23 points and 4 rebounds and Lauryn Bell added 10 points and 4 rebounds. Other scoring included Omari Kirkland 9; Jasmine Norman 9; Jakara Johnson 6; and Shatyra Moore 6.
“We got off to a late start and we are struggling from the post position,” said Coach Olivia Gaines. “I expect that to change once the second semester hits. Currently, we have three injuries and one ineligible player, but we are going to continue to watch film to grow.”
The Lady Indians will travel to non-conference opponent Denmark Tech on Wednesday, December 8.
