The Colleton Prep Lady Hawks earned a 9-2 win over non-conference opponent Andrew Jackson on April 25th. Colleton Prep is currently 10-1 overall and 4-0 in Region IV-AA.
In Monday’s win, Haley Bootle went the distance, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out six and walking zero. Linley Jones went 4-4 at the plate and scored four runs with a single in the first and sixth and doubles in the third and fourth innings. Taylor Tomedolskey was 2-4 with an RBI. Bootle was 1-4 with a 2-RBI homerun. Makenzie Pellum, Becca Martin, and Addison Crosby each had a hit.
Mac Beard took the loss for Andrew Jackson, lasting six innings, allowing 10 hits and nine runs while striking out eight.
Colleton Prep was scheduled to clench the region championship on April 26 against Beaufort Academy before hosting non-conference opponent Williamsburg Academy on April 28.
