The Colleton Prep Lady Hawks fell 62-23 to Orangeburg Prep Tuesday Dec. 8 on the road. Colleton Prep is 1-3 overall.
Taylor Tomedolskey scored 16 points in the game to lead the Lady Hawks on the scoreboard. Rianna Bailey added 4 points and Rachel Wright added 3 points.
“We played a very talented Orangeburg Prep last week,” said Coach Nicole Cain. “They are always a tough opponent. Our game scheduled Friday against Calhoun Academy was postponed due to their team being quarantined. We will hopefully make that game up the first of the year.”
Colleton Prep Athletic Director Greg Langdale issued the following statement Wednesday December 9:
“In a precautionary decision, the Colleton Prep Athletic Department has decided to suspend all athletics until after Christmas. Over the last few days, we have had multiple schools postpone games with us due to COVID-19 quarantine precautions at their schools. After the postponements, we were left with only one set of varsity basketball games before Christmas. With that in mind, the Colleton Prep Athletic Department decided to postpone that game until after the new year. This will allow all of our student athletes and their families to prepare for a safe and happy Christmas Day together.”
