The 34th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade will be held on Sunday Jan. 19 in Walterboro at 2:30 p.m. Lineup begins at 1:30 p.m. on South Jefferies Blvd. across the street from Live Oak Cemetery. This year’s parade marshal will be Dr. Queenie L. Crawford, CEO, Genes for Glory, a retired educator who continues to make a great impact in the lives of our young people. The parade is sponsored by The Walterboro Shrine Club of Arabian Temple #139 of Charleston. Noble James “Ronnie” Grant is the Illustrious Potentate.
