Mr. James Isadore King, 89, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Thursday morning, November 21, 2024, at his residence. Born May 19. 1935, in Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late William King and Clyde Glisson King. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Welch Creek Baptist Church. Mr. King was an ordained minister who loved spreading the Word of God. In his words, he wasn’t just a Christian, he was a Believer. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, loved children, and loved singing. Most of all he loved life, loved people, and loved the Lord. He was first married to the late Julia Ann Evans King, to whom he was married 57 years. Surviving are: his wife, Angela Williams King of Cottageville; children, Jimmy King and his wife Debra of Summerville, Jeffrey King of North Charleston, Jerilyn Ellis of Summerville, Julie King of Bridgeport, Texas, and Jonathan King and his wife Stephanie of Walterboro; grandchildren, Kristi King, Jessica King (Shawn), Matthew King (Mescha), Jordan Overcast (Kelly), Mikayla Myers (Lewis), Trey King, Taylor Crosby (Chandler), Kylea King, Brennan King, and Kira King; step-children, Blanche Rayfield and her husband Ricky of Aiken, Peter Williams and his wife Cynthia of Goshen, Kentucky, John Williams and his wife Cristine of Minot, North Dakota, and Stephanie Williams of Aiken; sister, Carolyn Foust and her husband Cecil of Mobile, Alabama; brother, William King; and many great grandchildren, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Yvonne Cliborne; 2 step grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Cecil Foust. A memorial service was held at 11 o’clock, Monday morning, November 25, 2024, at Welch Creek Baptist Church, Walterboro. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
