Kenneth Patrick Smoak, 85, of St. George, husband of Edna Connelley Smoak, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Old St. George Baptist Church with the Rev. James Way and Rev. Kevin Hinton officiating. Pallbearers will be Ed Jackson, Eddie Fralix, Ned Berry, Wayne McAlhany, Scott McAlhany, Phillip Connelley, Danny Carmichael, Charlie Moorer and Jeff McAlhany.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Kenneth was born on May 25, 1936, in Colleton County, a son of the late Robert Patrick Smoak and Edna Crosby Smoak. He was a US Air Force veteran, retired Civil Service employee and a Maintenance Supervisor with St. George Healthcare Center for a number of years.  He was a member of Old St. George Baptist Church, St. George Fire Department fireman, American Legion Post 105 and an avid gardener.

Surviving is his wife, Edna C. Smoak, St. George; a daughter, Kenjie Smoak Putti (Tommy Kemmerlin), Ridgeville; sisters, Doris Smoak Bales, Walterboro; beloved pet, Peppy; and a special caregiver, Sarah Singletary.
