Keith Lewis McRoy
Mr. Keith Lewis McRoy of West Ashley, Charleston, SC passed away Sunday morning 12-September-2021 at Roper/St. Francis ICU with family members at his side. He died due to complications of the Covid-19 virus. He was 56 years old.
Mr. McRoy was born 28-March-1965 in Savannah Georgia, the son of the late William L. and June C. McRoy of Edisto Island. Mr. McRoy was a 1983 graduate of John C. Calhoun Academy in Colleton County. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and worked in the family business, BMK Distributors until 1995. He ventured out on his own to operate KLM Enterprises and performed construction work in the Charleston Area until his death. He is survived by two brothers, Mark and Barry McRoy of Walterboro, a niece Carlson McRoy, a grandnephew Rivers Taylor of Walterboro and his beloved canine T-bone of West Ashley.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff of Roper/St. Francis Hospital for the splendid care rendered during the last three weeks of his life. Their professionalism, care and kindness will not be forgotten. The messages, condolences and support of his friends and gym family are gratefully appreciated.
Due to the current situation that exists with the coronavirus and for the safety and well-being of the community, a private graveside service will be held. In leu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Thornwell Children’s Home, 302 S. Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325.
