Mrs. Katherine Hull Staton, 63, of Cottageville, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning, May 1, 2021 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was the widow of the late Paul Staton.

Born April 4, 1958 in Charleston, she was the daughter of Kaye Willis hull and the late Joseph William Hull. She was the supervisor for the Naval Supply Center at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and transitioned to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where she retired after 37 years.  She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered for her love of traveling as well as her love for spending time with her granddaughter. 

Surviving in addition to her mother of Cottageville are: her son, Michael Staton and his wife, Tracy and their daughter, Kylie; an aunt, Rosemary Willis Melendez (Louie); and three cousins, Vince Melendez (Grace) and their child, Ginger, Mark Melendez (Rosalind), and Michelle Howington (Clint) and their children, Morgan and Dominick.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Hull and Donald Hull; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Hull, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. George M. Willis. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral services will be held 11 o’clock, Thursday morning, May 6, 2021 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The interment will follow in Live Oak Cemetery, Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro.
