Jonathan M. Zeigler, affectionately known by many as “Ziggy” or “Little Zigbo”, passed away Thursday morning, November 5, 2020 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Colleton County.  He was 25.

Jonathan was born in Walterboro December 15, 1994 a son of Carlos McRae “Zigbo” Zeigler Jr. and Stephanie Pauline Ausherman Zeigler.  He attended New Hope Church as a child, Colleton County High School as a teenager, and was a talented baseball player.  Jonathan worked for J.B.H. Logging, and attended Bethel Baptist Church.  He loved sports, music, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.  Jonathan enjoyed muscle cars and trucks, but was known by all as a man who possessed a big heart that would help anyone in need, and was a fiercely loyal friend.

In addition to his father and his mother, he is survived by his grandfather Carlos M. “Ray” Zeigler Sr., as well as by a host of extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his son, Kaiden Jonathan Zeigler, and by his grandmother Mary Lou Crosby Zeigler.  He is also survived by Kaiden’s mother Scarlett McKenzie Mangum.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, November 8, 2020 at 2:30 at Bethel Baptist Church, with burial following in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 in the church sanctuary.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
