Two people were injured, one seriously, in a single vehicle accident Friday Evening September 13 on Johnsville Road. The southbound vehicle lost control in a curve, crossed over to the north bound ditch, then back to the southbound ditch where it began to flip over. The car came to rest in a deep ditch, standing on end. Bystanders removed the patients from the car and transported one to the ED at Colleton Medical Center in a private car. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics treated the second patient at the scene. The female patient was transported by CARE Flight to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
