John Mitchell Witsell III

Mr. John Mitchell Witsell III, 92, died peacefully at his home Tuesday evening, December 21, 2021. Hazel, his loving wife of 63 years, was by his side.
Mitch was a lifelong resident of Walterboro, the owner of Enterprise Hardware Co. Downtown, and was a faithful member of St. Judes Episcopal Church. He was the son of Charles and Pauline Williams Witsell, and brother to Charles Witsell and Connie Simmons, all deceased. He was also pre-deceased by a daughter, Donna Witsell James.
He leaves behind a daughter, Debbie Witsell Brown (Jim) and four grandchildren: Samantha Allen (David), Meghan Rowe (Joe), Kyle James and Ally Brown. There are also four great-grandchildren: Ella Rowe, Hayes Rowe, Wade Allen and Ellery Allen. Mitch is also survived by his son-in-law Keith James.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, December 27, 2021 at 2:00 at St. Judes Church in Walterboro, with burial following in the Live Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Judes Memorial Fund, C/O the church, 907 Wichman
