Mrs. James Russell Kinsey, Jr., known by all as “Jamie”, age 36, of Walterboro, entered into rest Friday morning, September 18, 2020, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Born April 2, 1984, in Charleston, South Carolina, he was a son of Mrs. Robin DeFee Kinsey Thomas and the late Mr. James Russell Kinsey, Sr. Jamie attended Walterboro High School where he was active in the school, NJROTC program.  Jamie, like most boys raised in the south, loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He possessed a huge heart and was always willing to help those around him.  He loved his family.  He was employed with Beach Electrical Service, Inc. in Walterboro.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Robin and her husband Roy Allen Thomas, Jr. of Walterboro are: his wife, Dora Roberts Kinsey; three children, Russell Kinsey, Thomas Kinsey, and Elizabeth Kinsey, all of the home; three brothers, Scott Kinsey, Ben Kinsey, and Jared Thomas, all of Walterboro; and three sisters, Kayla Kinsey, Lauren Kinsey, and Lindsey Kinsey, all of Walterboro.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis Benjamin Kinsey, Ethel Avant Kinsey, Anthony DeFee, and Helen Egan DeFee; and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Roberts Loadholt. 

Jamie will be interred during a private family ceremony beside his late father at the Kinsey Cemetery in Round O.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held 5 o’clock Friday afternoon, September 25, 2020, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Homes, Walterboro Chapel.
