It’s all true-even future events

Are you reading the Bible through with me? Grab your pen and journal, and get ready to write your thoughts as you journey through the Bible. Today our reading comåes from Joshua 19-21. We have the remainder of the land distribution. But notice what Joshua says in 21:45. “None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.” Isn’t it wonderful when people make promises, and then keep them. This is what God does for us. The Old Testament is full of promises that God made to Israel, and He kept those promises. But God also made promises to us of what will happen in the future. We can count on Him. He has proven His word to be true based on His history with the Israelites. One day, those of us who follow the Lord Jesus will be able to say the same thing. We have God’s word, His promises, and His Presence in the Person of the Holy Spirit. All of it will be fulfilled. Read His word. Study it. Apply it. Remember it. In your journal, write the passages from 2 Peter 1:19-21 and Psalm 119:105. Pray over these passages and write what they mean to you. PRAY: Faithful God, I know that everything You have promised in Your word will be completed in Your time. Strengthen me as I seek first Your kingdom and righteousness. Strengthen my faith as this world grows more corrupt. Strengthen my resolve as the enemies bring pressure to compromise my faith and Biblical values. Strengthen my desire to obey You even though it might be difficult and costly. Remind me often that it will be worth it all when I see the Lord Jesus face to face.
