May is Mental Health Month and Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center Walterboro Office held its 2nd Annual Ribbon Ceremony in observance.
Various City of Walterboro officials, Coastal Empire members, law enforcement officers attended the event to draw awareness to mental health, to attempt to remove the stigma of asking for help, and to encourage people to ask for help when they need it. Ribbons were placed around Waterfall Park to remind the community about the importance of their mental health. Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center reminds us that “it is okay not to be okay.”
