Students in kindergarten through grade nine have been working hard in the iReady online instructional tool.

Students were placed on a personalized learning pathway after completing their diagnostic assessment in September. Students are expected to work in iReady at least 45 minutes weekly in both reading and math. Students are expected to pass with a 70% accuracy.

Usage data was used to determine the percent of their students meeting this expectation, along with the percent of lessons passed for the month of October.

Three schools were recognized for their overall percentage of students’ time on task and lessons passed for both reading and math: Northside Elementary, earning first place with 62.75%; Bells Elementary with 62.25% at second place; and Cottageville Elementary at third place with 57.5%.

i-Ready is an online program for reading and/or mathematics helps teachers determine students’ needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready allows teachers to assess students’ readiness and provides data to increase students’ learning gains.

i-Ready consists of two parts: Diagnostic and Personalized Instruction.

iReady Personalized instruction provides students with lessons based on their individual skill level and

needs, so that students learn at a pace that is right for them. Teachers get information from the diagnostic that shows where extra review is beneficial.
