Indians up in NJCAA polls to No. 18

The Salkehatchie Indians finished last week at 14-4 overall and 1-1 in Region X and moved up to No. 18 in the most recent NJCAA Men’s Basketball Poll. After recent wins over Combine Academy (113-57) and Brunswick Community College (113-79), the Indians dropped a close region game against Cape Fear Community College (85-80).
As of January 13, freshman SF Marlow Gilmore was ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA in FG% at 80.8-percent.
The Indians are scheduled to host Denmark Technical College Wednesday Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. in Walterboro. They will travel to Virginia to take on Richard Bland Saturday Jan. 25 at 4 p.m.

Vice Cole 23 points, Jay Jefferson 14 points, Michael Marsh 12 points and 10 rebounds, PJ Walker 10 points and 4 assists.

85-80 (loss) –January 18
Vince Cole 20 points, Mardrez McBride 15 points and 3 rebounds, Keyon Wesley 14 points and 6 rebounds, Jordan Cross 14 points.
