Indians lose conference opener

The Salkehatchie Indians dropped their NJCAA Region X opener against Caldwell College 83-77 on Saturday, February 20 in Hudson, North Carolina. The Indians are 3-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play after dropping four consecutive games. 

The Indians earned a 90-72 win over East Georgia State on Tuesday, February 2 at home. DiShon Daniels led with 17 points. Cincere Scott added 14 points and Derrick Sinkler had 12 points. 

Against Georgia Highlands College on Friday, February 5 in Rome, Georgia, the Indians lost a close game 91-89. Derrick Sinkler scored 22 points and Trevur Smalls added 16 points. Daniels and Ronny Walker, Jr. both had 12 points in the game. 

In a 95-85 loss to South Georgia Tech in Americus, GA, Scott led with 20 points. Sinkler added 18 points and Smalls had 12 points. 

Salkehatchie lost a close game (90-86) on the road against Tallahassee on February 15 . Sinkler scored 25 points in the game. Reginal Campbell added 15 and Kharye Cayne had 12 points. 

Then, the Indians went on the road again, this time in Hudson, North Carolina. There, the Indians lost 83-77 against Caldwell College in the Region X opener. Ronny Walker, Jr. led with 17 points. Sinkler had 16 points and Scott added 13 points. 

The Indians were scheduled to travel to Brunswick College in Boliva, North Carolina on Wednesday February 24 before returning home Saturday, February 27 for a game against Region X foe Spartanburg Methodist College.
