The Salkehatchie Indians split games on the week, earning an 86-72 win over Caldwell College and lost 83-70 against Spartanburg Methodist College. The Indians are currently 6-9 overall and 3-6 in Region X.
In play against Spartanburg Methodist on the road on Tuesday, March 23, Cincere Scott scored 15 points, recorded six rebounds, and had seven assists. Damontrez Ruffin added 13 points and claimed three rebounds. Other scoring players included Kharye Cayne, who scored 10 points, James Mingo added eight points, and Jordan Guthrie added eight points.
In the win over Caldwell College on Friday, March 26, Ruffin scored 19 points and had six rebounds. Indian player Cayne also scored 19 points and had 13 rebounds. Dishon Daniels scored 17 points and Guthrie had 13 points.
The Indians will play their final game of the regular season at home on Wednesday, March 31 against Denmark Tech with a 7 p.m. tip-off scheduled.
