Once again, In His Name-Colleton Ministries (IHN) has looked out for the needs of the most vulnerable in the community.

WIC and Hopeful Horizons partnered with IHN and Colleton residents to provide Thanksgiving Blessing Pans for the needy. People were asked to purchase a roasting pan and fill it with all of the ingredients needed for the perfect Thanksgiving dinner. Generous donors supplied 60 pans this year.

“The biggest thank you to our community for everyone’s generous giving for In His Name - Colleton’s Thanksgiving Blessing Pan Outreach!” said Amanda Herndon, director for IHN. “We were able to give out 60 blessing pans that will be feeding at least 223 people! Last year we gave out 37 pans so we did pretty well this year. Thank you all so much!” she added.

Plans are in the works for a similar Christmas outreach project, which will be coming soon.

In His Name-Colleton's mission is to reach out into the community offering the homeless food, clothing, and shelter, and providing supportive programs for families and individuals, youth, and children in Colleton County and surrounding areas. They have been assisting the homeless with a warming shelter to during cold winter nights, the shelter on Wichman Street has provided necessary items to victims whose homes have been destroyed by fire in Colleton.

“In His Name has always done community outreach. Within the last year we have stepped it up even more, and that is not changing,” she said.
