Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on I-95 near mile marker 51 northbound. The March 25th accident occurred when both vehicles were traveling northbound, and a full-sized pickup truck struck the rear of a small passenger car causing extensive damage to the vehicle. Witnesses stated that traffic was slowing when the accident occurred pushing the passenger car into the median of the interstate. One victim from the car was transported to the Trauma Center at Trident Medical Center. The other two patients were transported to Colleton Medical Center as Northbound traffic to back up several miles. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
