A three-vehicle accident blocked Green Pond Hwy at Proctor Street and sent two people to the hospital on March 25th. The accident occurred when a pickup truck struck the side of a fuel tanker and then collided with another pickup truck. Two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The tanker was not leaking any fuel and the driver of the semi-truck was not injured. The intersection was closed for about an hour. The accident is being investigated by the Walterboro Police Dept.
