The September blood drive at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church had 51 possible donors to come in and 53 pints of blood was collected. The reason there are more pints than donors is when someone gives on the Alyx machine, called double red, it counts as two pints. That donor has to skip the nex.t blood drive. The next blood drive in November will not be on the second Monday as usual because of tl1e annual Clemson-Carolina Blood Battle held in Columbia. Instead it will be on the third Monday, November 21. For information call Colleton County Blood Drive Coordinator Norma Weeks at 843-538-8950.
