Gas leak on Tulip Road

Posted

A utility contractor broke a residential gas line in the 400 block of Tulip Drive on Tuesday Oct. 13 at 9:54 a.m. The pressurized line leaked natural gas into the neighborhood for approximately 35 minutes. Fire-Rescue units and Colleton County Sheriff’s deputies responded and blocked off the roads leading into the area. Dominion Energy also responded with a crew and quickly secured the leak and then made a repair to the line. This is the third broken gas line in the last two months due to the installation of fiber optic lines into the residential areas.
