WALTERBORO:     Mrs. Mary Wallace Fisk, wife of the late David Franklin Fisk, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2024 at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston after a brief illness.  She was 78. She was born in Hampton County on December 16, 1945, and was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School.  Mary was known throughout the entire Lowcountry of South Carolina for her work as a civil processor.  Seeing her show up at your front door, or your place of business, could immediately create a feeling of dread…or by the same token…a sense of relief…from the official documents she carried!  She served papers for many city and county governments….as well as countless local law offices in the area.  Mary had attended Bedon Baptist Church, but in the years since her husband’s death, had been involved with NOVA Church in Walterboro.  Mary was an avid fan of Clemson football, but her greatest joy in life was her precious granddaughter Cassie.  She relished in her accomplishments, and was elated when she became a student at Clemson University.     Mary is survived by her daughter Robin Fisk Craven (Bobby) of Walterboro, and by her granddaughter Cassie Craven of Clemson.  She leaves behind her sisters Paulette Creswell of Brunson, and Lil Rentz (Richard) of Bamberg, as well as by a host of extended family.  She is also survived by her dear friends Linda Lamb, and Jack and Jane Lyons.   In accordance with Mary’s wishes, a small private funeral service will be held.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter (FoCCAS) at 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, SC  29488.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
