Walterboro area golfers recently combined their love for golf with their desire to help others in need. They created a group called the Fishers of Men Golf Club a name that represents their faith and also puts it into action.
On Saturday December 28, they hosted their first golf tournament. Although a rainy day, the weather did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the supporters. Thanks to the participants and sponsors, three families in need received $3500.00 each.
Kevin Lyles, president of this newly created 501-c organization said, “ We hope that this is just the start and plan to continue to help those in need through this outreach effort.”
