WALTERBORO: Mrs. Alberta Roberts Fillers, wife of the late William Lonnie “Billy” Fillers, passed away at her daughter’s home in Moncks Corner Wednesday afternoon, June 18, 2025 under hospice care, surrounded by her family. She was 86. Alberta was born in Walterboro July 13, 1938 a daughter of the late Albert Moody Roberts and the late Annie Letha O’Quinn Roberts. She spent her entire life caring for her family and raising her children in a loving home. She enjoyed listening to classic country music and spending time with her loved ones. She was a member of Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by five children: Ronnie Huff, Glenda Faye Mixon, Brenda Kay Jackson, Nancy Sharon Edwards, and Charlene Preston. Her grandsons Johnny Radcliffe and Mason Mixon were especially close to her. There are 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Alberta was preceded in death by four children: William Edward “Bubba” Huff, June Pierson, Charles Huff, and Ricky Nathan Huff. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation Sunday evening, June 22, 2025, from 5:00 until 7:00, at Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street in Walterboro. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel, with burial following in Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
