On Sunday afternoon April 13th, a teenager was killed in a shooting incident that occurred at the Forest Pointe Apartments in the 300 building. Law Enforcement responded to a report of a disturbance at the location at 6:05. Arriving officers found the 15-year-old male unresponsive and immediately began CPR. They requested Paramedics to respond. Fire-Rescue Medic 26 was assigned to the incident and two off-duty Firefighter-Paramedics also responded. Colleton County Sheriff’s Department Deputies also responded. The patient suffered a fatal gunshot wound and had no signs of life. The Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. The Walterboro Police Department is investigating this incident.
