A call came in to 9-1-1 at approximately 5:02 p.m., Sunday, April 23 to which Colleton County Fire-Rescue units responded regarding a male had been burned after an LP tank reportedly exploded.
The male received multiple burns over several areas of his body, some of which were third degree. Firefighter-Paramedics quickly treated the man at the scene, then transported him emergent to the helipad at Colleton Medical Center.
He was transferred to the CARE Flight crew, then flown to the Burn Center at MUSC in Charleston.
