Mrs. Eloise Lemm Johnson, 76, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday morning, August 7, 2021 at her residence. She was the widow of the late Elmer Louis Johnson, to whom she was married 27 years.

Born October 3, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Isadore Lemm and Deloris Bergmann Lemm. In her early working years, she worked at the papermill in Charleston. Later in life she worked in the bakery at Piggly Wiggly and after retirement she began the most important role of her life, raising her grandchildren, which she loved and took very seriously.  She was the rock of her family.  She loved sewing and embroidery.  Mrs. Johnson was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Surviving are: her children, Deloris Vaughan and her husband Troy, Richard Kline and his wife Rachel, and Kenneth Kline and his wife Michelle, all of Summerville; brother, Ronald Lemm and his wife Patricia; sister, Rosie Linstead and her husband Howard; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Pamela Jean Marie Kline.

Funeral services will be held 11, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. 

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10 until the hour of service.
