Sportin’ Life has won the Edisto Invitational Billfish Tournament.

The Edisto Invitational Billfish Tournament is the third and final leg in the Governor’s Cup Billfish Tournament. The two prior events, or legs, were held earlier this summer in Georgetown and in Charleston.

The winning boat, called Sportin’ Life, is owned by Graham Eubank and is captained by Mike Glaesner. The boat and its crew won the Edisto tourney based on time throughout the three-day event. The winning boat also released seven sailfish on Friday and Saturday, tying with fellow competitors Blue Sky and Reel Hook Up. Blue Sky took second place in the Edisto tourney.

The tourney itself at Edisto was held from July 20 through July 23rd, with daily weigh-ins by the competing boats.

The tourney finale was held on Saturday, July 23rd and included the final fish weigh-in, live entertainment, vendors and the announcement of the winners.

Hundreds of people attended the finale event, which was held at The Marina at Edisto Beach. The event is a large tourist attraction at the beach, and is supported by many local businesses. It also featured a special VIP tent and event, which drew crowd of people dancing to live music and enjoying the sunset view of Edisto Beach.
