Dunkin helps out health care staff

Dunkin Donuts in Walterboro showed appreciation for local medical personnel in a “sweet way” on March 27.
Manager Cynthia Wilson is used to their neighbors, Lowcountry Urgent Care’s personnel, coming into the store. But with the onset of Covid-19, they are especially grateful and decided to let them know it.
“The other day an Urgent Care employee came in to buy a few donuts, and we made sure she left with several dozen,” said Wilson. “We know they are working long hours and doing great work. Dunkin Donuts wanted to recognize all the good work they are doing, and so is our hospital here,” Wilson added.
Medical professional Kelsey Kirk was surprised by the gift. “We were so excited, and this was so nice,” said Kirk. “Sometimes we have no time to eat, so we were really grateful!”
