The driver of a Honda Accord traveling southbound on I-95 July 25th, swerved to avoid a tire in the road, lost control, struck a guard rail and entered the wooden median. The female driver suffered non-life threatening injuries, but was trapped in the car due to the damage. Colleton County Firefighter-Paramedics used a chainsaw to cut away debris to gain access to the driver’s side of the car. The driver was extricated and transported to Colleton Medical Center for further care. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
