A single-family home was destroyed in an afternoon fire at 169 Driggers Ln. on Sunday July 19 at 4:52 p.m.

The first unit arrived minutes later to find the single-story wood structure fully involved. The roof collapsed shortly after the arrival of Fire-Rescue. The sole occupant was not in the building. Crews deployed two handlines to combat the fire and had the bulk of the fire knocked down within 15 minutes.

Firefighters were on the scene performing overhaul for two hours. Water supply was conducted with tenders.

The home was a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
