Miss Addison Rose Dew, known affectionately as “Addie”, a wonderful sixteen-year-old lady full of life and charm entered into rest Wednesday afternoon, October 23, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained during an automobile accident in Colleton County.  Born August 28, 2008 at Trident Hospital in North Charleston, she was a daughter of Carlton Murray Dew and Donna Huggins Dew.   Addie was an eleventh-grade student at Colleton County High School, where she was active in the NJROTC.  She was a member of the Ridgeville Church of God and had worked at Bee City Zoo in Cottageville and was currently at Captain D’s in Walterboro.  She will always be remembered for her sassy spirit, her love of animals, and talent for crafts and painting. Surviving in addition to her parents of Cottageville are: her biological parents, James Clifton Dunahoe of Cottageville and Lorrine Smith (Kevin) of Columbia; two sisters, Jessie Lynn West of Moncks Corner and A.J. Rodgers of Columbia; her grandparents, Betty Lou Huggins of Moncks Corner, Davis James Dunahoe of Ravenel and Mona Lisa Smith of Moncks Corner; two aunts, Levonda Melton (Timmy) of Smoaks and Doris Ann Taylor (William) of North Charleston; and a host of extended family and cousins to include her first cousins, Andrew Melton, Kayla Muckenfuss, Cole Melton, A.J. Smith, Donovan Smith, and Caiden Smith.  She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Hermon L. Huggins and a great grandmother, Margie Dunahoe. The family has requested that memorials be directed in her memory to: Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488. Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon, October 27, 2024, from Ridgeville Church of God.  The Reverend Charles Houston officiated.   Interment followed in Fox Cemetery in Round O.  Arrangements By: The Brice W.
