Ms. Cynthia Bagnal Welch, 66, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Trident Medical Center.

Born September 26, 1954 in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Belton Bagnal, Jr., and the late Elijah Holland and Lillie Mae Floyd Holland. She loved playing softball and was an excellent pitcher.  She loved watching wrestling on tv and never missed an episode.  No matter what, she never complained and to her girls she was the strongest woman they ever knew.  To her, family came first.  She had a bond like non other with her sisters, loved spending time with her family, but especially her grandchildren. 

Surviving are: her daughters, Tonya Banks (Bobby Bowden) of Walterboro, Allison Florence and her husband Justin of North Charleston, Krystal Barnes and her husband Justin of Walterboro, Amanda Welch of Walterboro, and Nicole Koster and her husband Nick of Walterboro; grandchildren, Dylan Banks (Haley), Chris Banks (Taylor), Lexie Hiers (Justin), Caleb Hiers, Cameron Hiers, Jordan Crosby, Lindsey Barnes, Kaylie Barnes, Brittany Mowry and Darin Mowry; great grandchildren, Atticus, Cason, Gabe, Hayven, and Walker; sisters, Carolyn Filyaw of New Zion, Brenda Huchel of McBee, Debbie McMinn of Snellville, Georgia, Marsha Charpia of Williston; step-sister, Robin Bagnel of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paris DuBois; and sisters, Judy Griggs and Wanda Pineda.

Funeral services will be held 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon, April 24, 2021 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
