The Lowcountry African American Cultural Arts Festival (LAACAF) brought the South Carolina State University Concert Choir to the Colleton Civic Center on Sunday, February 9th. The choir under the direction of Dr. Johnnie J. Felder delivered a masterful performance as they entertained the audience with numerous soloist and full choral pieces. This was one of many events that are a part of the festival that will also present a Quilt Show in the gallery of the Civic Center, a presentation of the movie “The Forge” at the Ivanhoe Family Cinemas, and a Fashion Show at the Ray T. Johnson Center on February 15th.
