Colleton County Sheriff’s Office Reports:

12/06/22 - WALTERBORO: Officers responded to a report of discharging firearms into a dwelling.

12/06/22 - SMOAKS: During a traffic stop, officers arrested two individuals for receiving stolen goods.

12/08/22-WALTERBORO: At approximately 11:51 a.m., officers responded to the Colleton County High School in reference to malicious damage.

12/08/22-COTTAGVILLE: At approximately 12:52 p.m., officers were dispatched to Pierce Road to a reported motor vehicle theft.

12/08/22-WALTERBORO: Officers responded to a residence to a burglary that already occurred on Azalea Drive.

12/08/22- COTTAGEVILLE: At approximately 9:14 a.m. CCSO responded to Durango Lane regarding a residence that was hit by gunfire.

12/11/22-COTTAGEVILLE: at approximately 10:23 p.m. deputies responded to Red Oak Road in reference to a burglary.

12/12/22 -WALTERBORO: Officer responded to Mike Street after a report of discharging a firearm into a dwelling. The unknown suspect discharged a .223 caliber firearm that struck the north side of the mobile home. The mobile home was unoccupied at the time of the incident. The projectile was recovered.

12/12/22 - ROUND O: At approximately 3:10 a.m. CCSO arrived on the scene at the intersection of Jacksonboro Road and Charleston Highway in reference to a vehicle accident. Officer made contact on the scene with the vehicle owner/victim and was told while traveling on Jacksonboro Road (Charleston Highway) a vehicle traveled crossed the center line into the victim’s lane of travel. The vehicle struck a 2003 Mercedes SL 55, causing him to veer off the road and collide with a tree. The victim said that the vehicle continued to travel toward Charleston Highway and did not stop. The victim could only provide that the vehicle was a gray sedan. The victim and his passenger appeared to have no visible injuries but stated that they would go to the ER on their own to be checked out. The vehicle airbags did deploy on the driver’s side. SCHP was notified and arrived on the scene. The scene was released to SCHP for further investigation.

12/12/22-WALTERBORO: At approximately 2:30 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Gadsden Loop in reference to a burglary that occurred around the early part of November. Officer arrived on the scene and met with the complainant who stated that an unknown suspect broke into her residence in the early part of November and stole her .38 revolver worth $250. She said that the suspects also stole a human hair wig worth $75. Compliantant said that suspects also went into her shed and took a gas power Husqvarna leaf blower ($169) and an older Craftsman push mower ($129). She stated that she does not have the serial number for anything that was stolen. She stated that whoever stole the gun, stole the paperwork to it as well. Officer collected information and was advised if should any serial numbers are located to contact Sheriff’s Office. She was also advised in obtaining security cameras to help prevent any more incidents.

12/12/22 - WICHMAN ST / SAVAGE ST: Officers responded to an individual leaving the scene of a collision with property damage and striking fixtures on the highway.

12/05/22 - BELLS HWY/ DIXIE AUTO PARTS: Officers were dispatched to theft, malicious damage to a vehicle, and larceny of vehicle parts and accessories.

12/07/22 - ROBERTSON BLVD /FAMILY DOLLAR: Officers responded to a hit and run. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim and the business’s camera was reviewed.

12/8/22 - BELLS HWY - Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a shoplifting incident. While enroute, the suspect was described as a white male with tattoos who had gotten into a lifted GMC pickup and fled the scene. Officers were unable to contact the suspect. Video surveillance was reviewed that showed the offender concealing merchandise and leaving without paying.

12/5/22- JEFFERIES BLVD/PARKERS: An officer stopped by Parkers gas station and, while inside the store, was advised that a young male came into the store and stole several items. The manager provided an S.C. plate number.

12/6/22-WICHMAN ST: Officer contacted the victim for a report of stolen property.

12/7/22-PROCTOR ST/ RIVERS ST.: While conducting a routine traffic stop in the area of South Jefferies Blvd., an officer observed a green Honda Sedan. The driver was charged with possession of cocaine, illegal possession of legal liquor, possession of the stolen property, and cited for failure to stop for blue lights.

12/6/22- N. JEFFERIES BLVD./STATE ST.: Officers responded to Sniders Highway in reference to a reported hit-and-run accident.

2/7/22-BLACK ST/MCKENZIE ST.: Officers made contact with the offender during a traffic stop for moving violations. The vehicle in which he was a passenger also reportedly struck a vehicle at a Family Dollar on Robertson Boulevard and left the scene. While officers were speaking with the driver, the odor of marijuana was detected emitting from the vehicle. The offender did admit to having marijuana on his person and it was seized to be placed into evidence.

12/8/2022-LEWIS ST.: Officers were dispatched for shots having been fired after officers had previously cleared a domestic at that location from which the suspect had fled. Once on scene, officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside the residence and all doors were locked. The victim from the domestic arrived and did request an escort to gather her belongings for her children. At that time officers discovered the back door was now unlocked and slightly ajar. A protective sweep was conducted and no one was found inside the house. After the victim gathered items, officers looked at the property line and observed the suspect hiding under the porch. He was arrested and transported to jail, charged with disorderly conduct.

12/8/22-WICHMAN ST.: Officers were dispatched for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with both parties involved. The male subject stated he was struck with a blunt object and attacked by his girlfriend. The female party said the opposite, stating that her boyfriend had come home and began throwing items around the house, with one striking her. The female had a very small knot on the back of her head while the male had injuries on his back, hand, and leg. The female was deemed the primary aggressor but the victim did not want to proceed with criminal prosecution.

12/8/22-WICHMAN ST/JEFFERIES HWY.: Officers with the Walterboro Street Crimes Unit stopped a vehicle for several moving violations. A check of the passenger’s information determined she had warrants from Florence County for the threat to bomb.

12/9/22-E. WASHINGTON ST./CANNADY AGENCY: Victim reported that the fence to her business had been damaged.

12/10/22-GEORGE STREET: Officers responded to a report of a burglary with shots being fired.

12/11/22-ROBERTSON BLVD.: Officers were dispatched to Enmarket #9 in reference to a black male in the store wearing jeans and a sweater coming in and out of the store and shoplifting.

12/11/22-ROBERTSON BLVD/BELLS SEAFOOD PARKING LOT: Contact was made with the victim who said someone stole three tarps from his 18-wheeler trailer.

12/11/22- BELLS HWY./WALMART: Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a hit and run.

12/11/22-ROBERTSON BLVD./ROSE’S: Officers responded to Rose’s for a report of stolen merchandise.
