Missing packages
Deputies responded to an Anderson Road business regarding an employee stealing out-going packages after a customer complained about not receiving a package.
Apparently, a former employee of one of the business’ FedEx stations scanned packages, then overrode the system and changed the addresses so the packages would go to the employee and another person, the report said.
The employee reportedly rerouted packages for seven other customers as well. The business has resent customers’ items.

Animals seized
Colleton County Sheriff’s deputies seized two dogs on Chestnut Road on Oct. 15. The body of a third dog was found in the residence.
Apparently a woman was supposed to take custody of the dogs after her father passed away. But a neighbor reported she had not been seen in over a week, the report said, and the living conditions of the animals were not suitable.

TV taken
Colleton deputies are investigating the theft of a television set from a home on Cypress Pond Road on Oct. 15. No one was reportedly home at the time of the incident.
